FBM Office
BackThe craft of making architecture is on display in our office on Hollis Street. Given that an architect’s work is part of the city it makes sense that the studio also contributes to the life of the street. Indeed, people are very curious about the often-hidden and mysterious act of producing architecture and passersby often press their nose up against the glass. The open plan space supports the collaborative work of the practice which is all about sharing ideas and experiences. Acoustic privacy is available in glass rooms scattered throughout the space. Decades ago, a bank occupied the space. The old vault is evident in the space and there are still marks on the concrete floor from where the tellers used to stand showing the evolving lives of buildings within cities.
