Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre

Faced with replacing aging infrastructure and expanding existing facilities, the new Bayers Lake Community Outpatient Centre serves Nova Scotians at a more accessible patient-practitioner scale. Located 20 minutes west of the Halifax peninsula, it offers services outside of a hospital setting like physiotherapy and occupational therapy, diagnostic imaging, blood collection, dialysis, and post-surgery primary care. The centre is the province’s first P3 healthcare project and one element of the broader QEII New Generation Project—a large-scale, phased, multi-year program that will redesign and rebuild healthcare infrastructure support for Nova Scotians.
