FBM Welcomes More Talent to the Fold

FBM has some new faces around their Hollis Street office in downtown Halifax, bringing their total number of team members to 31.

Over the past six months, FBM has introduced six permanent hires to join the talented roster of architects, interior designers and planners.

Adam Read joins FBM as an architect, Laurice Arab, Stephen Hewitson and Rowan Wells are the firm’s newest architecture technologists and Alejandro Adriazola and Cassie Kent are intern architects.

In other employee-related news, Alicia Gilmore, an intern architect, recently picked up a couple of significant awards when graduating with a Masters of Architecture from Dalhousie University this past year. She was presented with the Nova Scotia Association of Architects Scholarship for excellence in academics, and the Alumni Memorial Award for outstanding service to the school.

“We are incredibly proud of the culture we have worked hard to cultivate at the firm,” says George Cotaras, President and Partner at FBM. “It’s not only the values that inform the way we support and deliver for our clients, but it’s the approach we take in nurturing the well-being of our team. We put a lot of emphasis on creating an ideal environment for people to work, and the exceptional talent we are recruiting tells us we’re doing something right.”

It is likely that FBM will expand even further by early fall, with four new employees expected to come on board.
