FBM marks 100 years in business

On September 8th, FBM will host clients, partners and community leaders to celebrate 100 years of people driven design.
“It’s remarkable to think of the impact the firm has had in Atlantic Canada, and even outside of our region, over the last century,” said George Cotaras, President of FBM. “When we look at the various projects that have been designed and executed across the decades you can absolutely see how our firm has evolved – but one thread remains consistent throughout – we have, and we will continue to, design spaces that feel good and strive to build and strengthen communities.”
Located in downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia, FBM practices nationally and internationally. A firm of over 20 people, FBM is owned and managed by a group of three architects, a senior technologist, and the firm’s accountant. All are active in the work of the practice.
The comprehensive team includes professionals encompassing multiple facets of building design; architects, interior designers, technologists, and sustainability experts allowing the company to provide excellent service on a broad range of projects. FBM’s portfolio of work includes commercial, residential, hospitality, educational, industrial, health care and cultural projects, in both the private and public sectors.
As part of the 100 year celebrations FBM is launching a new logo and website inspired by a refreshed vision for the future.
“We have an exceptionally talented group of designers,” said Susan Fitzgerald, Partner and Architect with FBM. “This 100th Anniversary allows us the opportunity to take a moment and reflect on what we have accomplished together, and map out our future direction so we can continue to excel for our clients.”
